August 14, 2012
Brewed by: Left Hand Brewing Co., Longmont, Colorado
Style: Russian Imperial Stout
ABV: 10.20
4.0 out of 5 burps
First sip was hard and woody, but had me piqued for more.
Second quaff was more rewarding. Woody overtones settled in for a tasty embrace despite a slight bitterness, which hadn’t typically been my jam. Some coffeeness, some chocolately bits.
If you’re going to Wake Up Dead, be sure to brush your teeth.
