December 26, 2012
Brewed by: Two Brothers Brewing Co., Warrenville, Ill.
Style: Imperial Stout
ABV: 9.1
4 out of 5 burps
There must be some coefficient out there to relate temperature (31 degrees), wind speed (22 mph from the north) and snow depth (8 inches) to determine the ideal choice of ABV.
Might need to factor in distance and direction trudged from home as well.
I easily could’ve gone with my beloved Robert the Bruce, but this was new to me. No regrets.
Whatever the coefficient – and I will get R&D on that one, after they’re back from their holiday furlough – this seasonal imperial stout is pretty near a perfect ABV for a Snowpocalypse 2012 Mini Pub Crawl. And the “Mini” refers to just two stops – the only two spots that seem to have opened today.
Tasted at: The Sinking Ship, 4923 N. College Ave., Indianapolis
