Brewed by: Triton Brewing Co., Indianapolis
Style: Brown
ABV: 5.2
1.5 out of 5 burps
One whiff confirms what the menu says: “brewed with 20 pounds of espresso beans.”
One sip confirms what the whiff implied: Pass.
Too much java for me. But I had to try. And I’m glad it was just a sip’s worth. I do hate to see beer go to waste. (Not that it really needs clarified, but I do mean beer that is beer, not tainted water labeled as beer. Feel free to dump out all the Bud and Miller you like.)
Moral of the story: NEXT!
Note: I tried this back in January, but now that I’m getting around to posting it and looking up the ABV, I see Triton has renamed it the B-Java Coffee Brown. I probably wouldn’t have tried it with that name. Yes, I admit I was much swayed by the lure of sweet.
