Totally drinkable, but I’m frozen and my feet ache. So just about anything would be drinkable.
I can tell it’s much better than AJ’s pilsner. Even he agrees. Amazing, that.
We’re about to see “Skyfall,” and here’s to not falling asleep when we get there. Right now we’ve only been up 27+ hours today. Flew in with a stopover in Newark, and checked into our hotel on the Eastside. Certainly chillier than had been predicted.
Met up with a free tour group. Great option – you get a free three-hour tour from guide with an excellent background in Berlin on the way-back machine to modern times and at the end you decide how much to tip. Most such tours run $12 to $15, so most people seem to tip about that much.
But back to the beer review.
The flight, the time difference, the walking, the cold all goes to make whatever beer this is totally drinkable. And it’s only a little odd to see the family next to us, both 9-ish-year-olds included, all enjoying their own brews.
And up next for us here at the Sony Center, what’s a little staying awake even longer while sitting in the dark for a few hours? Especially considering they’ll have 30 minutes or more of pre-movie commercials, then movie trailers and later a commercial-packed intermission to interrupt the movie once the plot actually gets going.
Isn’t part of the point of bothering to go to an actual theater avoiding commercials?
OK, fine, maybe it’s just more important to have bigger explosions.
