Strongbow Cider
Brewed by: H.P. Bulmer, Hereford, England
3 out of 5 burps
After a lifetime of disparaging apple cider, last summer, scientists discovered that I do, in fact, dig cider. That experiment first took place at New Day Meadery in Fountain Square, and the finding were confirmed with a bottle of Original Sin at Monon Food Co. in Broad Ripple.
To further those conclusions, this one had to be tried. Part of that reasoning is that it is the best-selling cider in the U.K. Also, it was the cause of what became known as Beth “Anonymous” W.’s Strongbow Incident. I’ll only disclose that a long walk helped in the recovery from that.
As for my Strongbow Sampling, it’s now my third favorite of the ciders I’ve tried. And that puts it at the bottom of my list. I know I’ll be trying more ciders, and I think this one will continue to fall in the rankings.
Sampled at: Jockamo Pizza, Irvington, 5646 E. Washington St.
