Be sure to get the correct Zippy book (left).
Book Club has spoken and the results are in. It looks like another great year of reading, with a good mix of new and old titles. We rather quickly assigned which to read what month. If you see something you’d like to move, it’s not written in stone.

And remember, we’ve added reading Zippy for next month. It’s Zippy the girl, not Zippy the Pinhead.
Thanks for experimenting with our new voting process. It seemed to go rather smoothly, and I enjoyed learning how to do it.

Taylor recommends books that are five to six pages long with spongy animal puzzle pieces to scatter about the room.
Avast, Book Bags!
The candidates are in. All 33 of them. Who knows where their campaign finances come from. But they’re all on equal footing as far as we’re concerned.
Next step: Narrow the list.
Do your voting Wednesday by 10 p.m. How? Go here.
At lunch Thursday, we’ll pull the list down to a year’s worth and figure out who gets read when.
Remember: There are no losers. They’re all eligible to be nominated again in 2011.

Leading the trend for 2010, Taylor suggests books you can read upside down.
OK, Book Bag ladies, it’s time to collect ideas for our 2010 list. You can vote through the link you received by e-mail — and you can do so multiple times. Or, submit your recommendations here.
That link includes a preview of what’s already been recommended. Not pretty, but maybe I’ll figure out that bit one of these days. You can submit suggestions only through the form, as you can’t do so directly into the spreadsheet.
Keep sending submissions until the end of October (official date TBD), then I imagine I’ll set up a voting system and let you know when to cast your votes for the final list.
By the way, if you’re wondering what the next book on this year’s list is, you always can check it out here.
Happy reading!
